Five years had already passed since Green Lung’s last and first visit to Thessaloniki, back when the band was simply promising. Since then, a considerable amount of time had gone by, marked by heavy contracts with record labels and companies, showcasing just how much they had evolved during that period. We had been waiting for the Green Lung for a while, amidst several concert postponements, and finally, the day had come for their appearance in the city.

The concert kicked off with a promising new band from Athens, Saturday Night Satan.

The band was new, but not its members in the scene, especially one of the founding members, Jim Kotsis, with a long presence on stage, notably with Mahakala and Black Soul Horde.

The thematic elements of SNS matched well with Green Lung’s occult style, making the two bands a great combination for that night.

SNS presented their debut album “All Things Black”, as they appeared for the first time in Thessaloniki, showcasing a very comprehensive work.

The band seemed to genuinely love what they had to present on stage. Musically, they were excellent, both in vocals and riffs.

The bass lines were very prominent, giving them a lot more depth in the overall result. For one of their first performances, they were really very good, and I hope for a great future for this band.

As the stage was set for Green Lung, the venue filled up even more.

The moment had arrived with the British band entering the stage dramatically. The band delivered their signature blend of heavy, psychedelic rock with a masterful presence.

heir set-list cleverly mixed fan favourites with tracks from their latest album, ensuring a dynamic flow that kept the audience engaged throughout.

Vocally, Tom Templar was in top form, weaving his powerful voice with the heavy riffs and driving beats that define Green Lung’s sound.

The band’s energy was contagious, with each member contributing to a tightly executed performance that captured the essence of their studio recordings while adding the raw, unfiltered edge that live shows bring.

The highlight of the evening was the band’s performance of their “Song of the Stones”, as it was a unique acoustic rendition reminiscent of dark medieval times.

Overall, Green Lung’s performance in Thessaloniki was a vivid testament to their rising status in the rock scene, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their next return.
