Icelandic Black metal is back with another epic soundscape of blackened majestic, thought-provoking, epic musical scores courtesy of composer, multi-instrumentalist and sole member of Oreida, Thor.

‘The Eternal’ is constructed of five grand and contemplative tracks, each one delivering the means and tools to be able to swathe over you and take you to the raw, hostile and volcanic Icelandic shores in order for you to be enveloped by the spiritual and transcendent outpourings.

Each track on ‘The Eternal’ is hypnotic and dynamic, each maintaining its own signature yet encompassing an identity with a distinct similarity to that of its album peers. The tracks have vocals omitted and this only adds to the titanic grandeur of their make-up and construction, allowing you to concentrate on the riffs, chords and drums and really allow you to enter a trance like state and get well and truly lost in the moment.

The Eternal is barraging and brutal in impressive magnitudes and Þórir G. Jónsson, or Thor as he is more commonly known by, has well and truly poured out his spiritual and technical being into this opus and it is one which will demand your full attention in order to be able to get the most from this hypnotic and emotive black arts martyr.

This will unapologetically penetrate your soul and transcend you into the underworld with decadent and luxuriously melodic black metal.
