FOETAL_FINAL_t-shirt3I’m expecting nothing but the best coming from fellow Mancunian death metallers ‘Foetal Juice’. Formed in 2005 they released their first demo ‘Donnakababy’ in 2007and a year later another demo ‘Consume the Consumed’ then an EP in 2009 followed it. Hardcore gigging led to a live CD in 2011 swiftly followed by demo ‘Bloodshot Eyes and Blistered Fingers’. Luckily for the band they released a split CD this year which bagged them interest and signing with Grindscene Records. This, then led to the newest EP ‘Big Trouble in Little Vagina’.

With a superb album title I’m hoping for good things from this.  The first track and album title ‘ Big Trouble in Little Vagina’ comes in with crunching guitar riffs and some insane drumming along with  (ahem, sorry) Dani Filth styled screams adding in some superb pig grunting vocal style makes this a classy number. The middle section worthy of some fist pumping in the air action is another thing to note. Then there’s ‘Brewkakke’ ha! Another glorious title there!  A real punky feel to this one, yet it’s still got that main ingredient of death metal. You can even have a little sing along to this one as you can just make out the lyrics…. Well.. brewkakke anyhow! The riffs go a little insane towards the end but its’ all good.. fits in there like a burger in a bap! Beautiful!

‘Semen Evil Smear No Evil’ (classy!) is another cracking track, I especially love the drum rolls all over the show, then there’s ‘Serpents of the Northern Lights’, which is a likeable one, however, was this made for this EP? It doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the beautiful song titles as well as being the longest of them all. Not to worry though, fitting title or not… it’s a belting track! Screaming all over the show, drums on fire then those groovy riffs!

Ending on a high with ‘Service Station Masturbation’ (yummy) with probably the most painful sounding screaming I’ve ever heard. I seriously want to pat the vocalist on the back and say “There, there!”.  The middle of the track turns into some immensely neck breaking material, I couldn’t imagine “pitting” to this and having any sort of neck left after it, brilliant!

Death metal at its finest, not the most technical music in the world but it doesn’t need to be! Looking forward to more ear bleeding stuff from these Mancs!
