Your No. 1 Source For Extreme And Atmospheric Music And Film.

Author Luke Hayhurst

My introduction to music came as a toddler and I was introduced to Progressive Rock, specifically Genesis, who to this day remain my favourite band of all time. My parents also got me listening to Queen and Spandau Ballet. In the late 90’s I was introduced to RATM, Nirvana, The Doors, Radiohead, and Therapy? and quickly moved on to Slipknot and surfed through the Nu-Metal craze. I also got into early Sepultura and Anathema at this point and those two bands started me out on my journey away from pop-metal and into extreme Metal. From there bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Old Corpse Road, Grand Magus, Marduk & Cathedral became my staples, though I’ve never said goodbye to my Prog Rock roots. These days I mostly listen to underground UKBM and am a new arrival to the Black/Thrash party.
