This is a debut release from SpeedSlayerVenom worshipping Hellcrash from Italy. Originally this came out on another label in February, Dying Victims bring you the vinyl and digital assault.

Of course, evil is everywhere, its natural based on the name, the artwork and the persona. One track in particular really “bursts out” as being Venom inspired, namely ‘Satanic Heresy’. Overall the band labels itself with speed metal, the source of inspiration is clear and it’s very evil! From the haunting musical pieces, the rapid fire start to the majority of tunes and the screams of anguish and pain that are depicted from vocalist Hellraiser. ‘War against Christ (Satan or Die)’, the opener, is the perfect example. The intro, the explosion of filthy speed, yep, this sets up the release for the edgy ride you are going to experience. Of course, if you look at the track titles, you won’t be far wrong with what to expect, although I think I have covered this many times and I will further along the path too.  ‘Hordes of Satan’ invites you on a journey… and ’Evil Executioner’ finishes you off. There is no denying the smile and joy you can get from this. ‘Alcoholic Brigade’ starts to generate its buzz saw rabid thrashing madness and climaxes having paid homage to the inventors of the sound as mentioned earlier. Don’t look for anything other than what you would expect.

I find it sometimes irrelevant to pick the bones out of such releases, there is a clear path, the songs are well written, executed and the feel is spot on. Everyone has heard a reviewer’s ramblings before, but you know, if it isn’t broke etc…. I could continue with the clichéd descriptors, but that would be a waste of reading time. It’s an enjoyable release and I particularly like the artwork which for me is a nod to early Slayer, not just in the musical sense either. Raise your horns!
