JesusChrueslerSupercarRight…It’s time to face facts…
We live in a world without Lemmy…We live in a world where “rock stars” look like preppy school kids that are more concerned with vegan sausages, than blasting your face off with some down and dirty rock ‘n’ roll.
Thank fuck then, for Jesus Chrüsler Supercar, a Swedish band that have roared into town armed to the teeth with 11 tracks of prime “Death ‘n’ Roll”, on their second album ’35 Supersonic’.
With a nod to homeboys The Hellacopters, and even Entombed, these guys have a sound that’s a welcome blast to tired and shot ears.
Robban Bergeskans (vocals, bass), Fredrik Karnell (guitars *now replaced by Chris Sirén*) and Nicke Forsberg (drums) let the frantic riffs roll free, and aren’t afraid to bring the doom when the mood takes them.

‘Let It Roll’ and ‘From Hell’ fire from the grid as loud and brash, free-wheelin’ rockers, with distorted vox and catchy choruses. But even when the tempo slows to a Sabbath-y crawl on ‘I Can Get It’, the killer hooks remain integral to the sonics.
But things don’t stay moody for too long, as ‘Backfire’ and ‘Digging My Grave’ crank up the action with attitude and groove, while ‘Down, Down, Down’ chugs you into submission.
‘Death Street 16’ is a glorious race of doom and punk, allowing the boys to ride with the devil on ‘For Sale For Satan’, and asserting a more assured take on Tony Sylvester-era Turbonegro with the addictive riffs and leads of ‘Eternity’s Cold Black Night’.
Blasting to the finish with ‘Feed The Flies’ and the irresistible ‘I Gotta Go’, ’35 Supersonic’ is 35 minutes of in-your-face rock that’s sure to soundtrack your next debauched party or the oncoming apocalypse (whichever happens soonest) with its loud, dirty, fuzzed-up rock ‘n’ roll.

…And in a world without Lemmy, that’s exactly what you need!
